Spring is all about new beginnings. This is a special time for the Japanese as they start the new year full of hope and renewal.
This project will consist of 2 parts.
Part 1: Group Project
Create a Hina ningyoo display. No technology, pre-made, copied or otherwise 3rd party created items. Use your creativity, artistic talents, problem solving and work together as a group to complete your display.
Part 2: Individual Research Paper
Present a written essay on the significance of spring, the practices associated with the season, the practices associated with Hinamatsuri focusing on the practice of setting up a hinadan and the influence these things have had on Hawaii's culture.
Print the project sheet out for all the details and parameters.
