Holiday Project

Combining speaking and songs into a holiday skit. Application of newly acquired vocabulary, grammar and culture in a fun presentation aimed at younger elementary school students.

Storyboard template:  download and build your story, scene-by-scene, including the setting, background, props, characters, dialogue, song, etc. using the document in the Drive.
Here are the Holiday presentations the Japanese 2 classes did for finals. A special thank you goes out to Mrs. Koide at Moanalua Elementary, Mrs. Lum at Pearlridge Elementary and Mrs. Roessler at Kauai High School and all their students for watching our performances.

Parameters:

Each group, maximum 4 groups per class period, will create a short skit tying three Christmas songs together. Each song must come from a different category based on the difficulty level. The group will collaboratively write a script, entire in Japanese, to tie the selected songs together into a story.

Each group member must contribute their own lines to the conversations and everyone must sing all three songs in its entirety.

Costumes, set backgrounds, props and movements are the shared responsibility of the entire group. Please recycle or reuse things already available to you. Be sure to ask permission before taking any items from your homes. Do NOT go out to buy new things!

The presentation must include dialogue with speaking parts for everyone. Focus on using the new grammar patterns and vocabulary learned during first semester of this year.
