The Hawaii Association of Teachers of Japanese (HATJ) and the Japan Foundation Los Angeles will cosponsor a Japan Foundation (JF) Standard Familiarization Workshop.
Date: Saturday, March 14, 2015
Time: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
Location: Sacred Hearts Academy
The JF Standard was developed based on the concepts supporting the CEFR, which serve as the basis of language education in Europe. CEFR stands for Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment, and presents a framework shared by language education and learning institutions in Europe. By using the JF Standard, it is possible to see the level of proficiency by how well the learner uses Japanese, no matter where the learner began her studies.
This is a great opportunity to address the issues of articulation we have been discussing so long and we hope as much as Japanese teachers (K-16 and beyond) to participate in this workshop.
